Currently setup as a news Blog, the SlashFilm website has several different main categories such as Reviews of new films and television, links to new movie trailers, the SlashFilm Podcast (the FilmCast) and general Hollywood/entertainment news.

Awards and Film Festivals

1. Won the Reader¡¯s Choice Award for Best Entertainment Blog in the 2007 Performancing Blog Awards.
2. Nominated for Best Major Blog 2008 in the 2008 Weblog Awards.
3. Nominated in the Entertainment category of the 2007 and 2008 Bloggies.

The staf of the SlashFilm website have attended the Sundance Film Festiva, New York City¡¯s Tribeca Film Festival, WonderCon in San Francisco, San Diego Comic Con, and the Toronto Film Festival.

In 2008, they traveled to the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas for the first time.
