Birmingham School of Acting is a small specialist institution offering full-time higher education courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level and part-time and summer school courses for adults, young people and children. Birmingham School of Acting is a faculty of Birmingham City University and its acting courses are accredited by the National Council for Drama Training (NCDT).

The school is located in the centre of Birmingham; a vibrant, modern, culturally diverse European city; the second-largest city in the UK and recognised international centre for the arts, entertainment and business. The school also provides part-time classes and summer schools for adults and children and through the Birmingham.

Founded in 1936 Birmingham School of Acting is owned and operated by the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama Training Trust. The school's full time courses are funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). The funding provided is at a premium rate in recognition of the high quality of delivery and the vocational nature of the training. Birmingham School of Acting operates from the city centre. The school is based in Millennium Point. In addition the school performs at professional theatres throughout Birmingham and the West Midlands.
